Glycerine will not only increase the viscosity of water, it will also
increase the boiling point. I suspect it may also reduce evaporation.

The formula for blowing giant bubbles is water, Dawn detergent, and
glycerine. The soap lowers the surface tension of the water allowing the
water molecules to let go of each other easier and form bubble instead
of drops. The glycerine, which would increase surface tension, seems
counter intuitive. Evaporation (and sharp objects) are a giant bubble's
natural enemies. The small dose of glycerine helps reduce evaporation.

Perhaps worth a try? I would suggest a 20% glycerine solution as a
    starting point.
