A couple of little items that may be of interest to list members though there's almost no navigation in them. 1) The Weather Channel fixed their moon! Many of you probably recall a thread from June 2006 in which I pointed out that the Moon graphic on the Weather Channel on US TV and their web site looked odd. In fact, it was a view of the Moon that could only be seen from "out there" since it showed a large portion of the lunar Far Side. It was derived from a photo taken by the Apollo astronauts, and they've been using this graphic for at least twenty years. Well, they've replaced it with a proper Full Moon as it appears from good old terra firma. So tell me: which list member called them up and explained it to them?? :-) 2) Speaking of Apollo astronauts, if you have a chance, go see "In the Shadow of the Moon". I really enjoyed it. And don't wait to see it on a small screen (unless you have a serious home theater setup). -FER --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to NavList@fer3.com To , send email to NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
