Byron,
Your PPP doesn't open on my Apple G4 laptop. I understand your two minute star finder but prefer to use the concept scaled onto a radar plotting sheet so that a conventional 2102-D can be used. The radar plotting sheet is printed up on both sides so one side I have used your scales and on the other is a simpler zone time and GHA of Aries scale. The two minute scales work best for right now observations from an assumed longitude. The simpler scale with a plotted Sun works better for getting a twilight sky for selecting stars. All these methods work well including the traditional method of determining the LHA of Aries by Nautical Almanac or equivalent.
