It's part of my one man show called Dr. G's Empirical Compound. For the general (and unsuspecting) civilian audience, and the sextant is part of the Slocum story (or myth) about finding a typo in a log table by disagreement bet. CN and DR. Most members of this board are of the opinion that it's myth, which makes it an even BETTER story.
I'm the proud owner of a Troughton and Simms sextant. It is now aligned and ready to try out on real celestial bodies. Can't wait. Life's busy (in a good way) now, but will get to it soon.
