    My immediate reaction on reading the article was that it was very US-centric. I could not find any reference to GNSS. I thought about commenting but decided not to. On reading your comment I have decided to agree with you.

    Here are two thoughts - . I am sure that e-loran boxes  can be produced that fit in aircraft and ships. But is it technically possible to  fit the receiver in a smart phone? If not then perhaps us oldies will have to run courses in paper map reading!

    Will Elan Musk's 40,000 low orbit sattellites  mask the GNSS signals?

    Probaly off-topic for this forum but does international law give Musk the right to pollute the skies or is outer space a free for all?
