I have taken a look to your program.

The UserManual.doc says: “The algorithm, based on least squares,  is a simplifed version of the one adopted by STELLA, as suggested by the same author Dr. George Kaplan.”

I also have a program CelestialFix.exe, available at my web page, that uses Kaplan’s algorithms, but I have not validated the solutions in real world for position and course and speed, do You?. See NavList e-mails:

I have attached an excel sheet. The part of the Nautical Almanac is not mine, only an adaptation by me, (no support).

 

To use it, You must:

- Turn the excel Security macro level to medium

- Copy the file fixstars.cat in  C:\WINDOWS\system32
