Of course, quoting angles to a tenth of a degree doesn't imply that you can
measure or use angles to that precision.

You are correct in that we aren't going to try and steer by 10th of
degrees, but they are useful over time to determine if the gyro error is
changing over a period of days or weeks. I usually find the source of this
change is that the latitude dial on the gyro isn't being adjusted often enough,
especially as we head North in the East China Sea.
