Ah Stan. You're proving my point! One too many F's there. I believe its properly spelled trifled, as in not to be trifled with.
Unfortunately, this typo doesn't form another meaning. Its just misspelled.

No confusion here.Thought it was a most amusing typo, as on the face of it, it continued to make sense. Yep, it will be here for year to come! An entire, not to be triffled with, year. A full 365 day extravaganza!I do understand why you were forced to issue the clarification. The 'nit picky' behavior of the list requires that you correct yourself first, rather than have someone else point out the error. Heavens, we can't have that. No way, no how! Of course, in the rush to correct ourselves, we typically make further errors, leading to a long string of corrections, apologies and admissions of fault. As to Navigation Weekend. I would be more inclined to attend if I knew the topics ahead of time. This implies that the event further into the future holds more promise, as more presentations and topics can be solidified. Of course, this is your show Frank, and as you do most of the work, you get to call the shot.BradOn Aug 20, 2013 8:00 PM, "Frank Reed" <FrankReed{at}historicalatlas.com> wrote:
This is a rare case where a typo might possibly lead to some genuine confusion. I wrote previously:
"It will be part of the 'show' for year to come."That should say "for YEARS to come." The Time & Navigation exhibit at the Smithsonian Air & Space museum is a "permanent exhibit" and we can visit it this year or next year or some YEARS from now. Naturally, on a longer time-scale of five years or ten or twenty, the exhibit will eventually be dismantled or evolved in some way.-FER----------------------------------------------------------------
