It has been many years since I read Buckley's book about sailing across the Atlantic. If I recall correctly, I believe that the HP 65 was programmed by a friend/engineer from HP. I always had the impression that Buckley was fascinated with CN but did not know the level of detail of the subject that one might be lead to believe and, as has been mentioned earlier, did things by wrote. I also recall a rather pompous comment near the end of the book explaining that due to his notoriety many people would buy his book on sailing thus paying for the voyage. A review of his video I read commented that "you better bring your dictionary" to understand what he was saying referring to Buckley's incessant use of obscure words. I would think it not too condusive to easy understanding someone new to the subject. Interesting guy. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to NavList@fer3.com To , send email to NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
