    Dear all,

Collins just published „Finding longitude: How ships, clocks and stars helped solve the longitude problem” by Richard Dunn and Rebekah Higgit. It is the official publication of the National Maritime Museum's exhibition “Ships, Clocks and Stars: The Quest for Longitude”, which runs from July 11 through January 4, 2015. If you cannot make it to the exhibition and you are interested in the history of navigation you should buy the book. It is a beautiful coffee table book and at the same time a sound treatment of its subject – far superior to “The illustrated Longitude”.

    Wolfgang
