John Shea asked- >At the risk of committing sacrilege, do any of the listees use >Celesticomp or similar products? ================ I doubt if there's any risk of sacrilege here. My understanding of how this list operates is that although discussion of electronic navigation itself (presumably mostly GPS now) is discouraged, the use of calculators, computers, and other such electronic tools in conjunction with traditional navigation is considered valid and such discussion is welcomed. Decisions of acceptability are in the hands of Dan Hogan, who applies a welcome twitch of the tiller from time to time. Mostly, he leaves it to us. We are a broad church, though. Even a restrained reference to GPS doesn't seem to be strictly forbidden, in the right context, when it's relevant to other matters. That's the guidance I would offer to newbie members. Others may give a different slant: have I got it about right?
