In a recent post you mentioned that:
Only once I tried to reduce a lunar observation "by hands",
but still using a primitive electronic calculator.
My experience shows that this is not easy:-)
I expect you'd find clearing a distance "by hand" extremely easy with my Tables, once you were familiar with them. Takes me eight or ten minutes, checking at every step of the way. But speed is not much of a concern. What's important for me is that there are not a bunch of loose ends left lying around to puzzle or trip over.
