    See the linked images of four different plots of your Moon LOP from 10/21/2011. Plot #1 uses your actual position (Labeled GPS) as the assumed position. Plot#2 and plot #3 use a selected assumed longitude along the assumed latitude of 35* ( Pub 229 plot method ). Plot #4 uses an assumed position of convenience at 35* N and 119* W. Naturally all the LOP's are the same distance from the actual position (GPS).

    When using the standard plotting sheets it will be necessary to draw a latitude line on the included scale to get the spacing for longitude. If making your own plotting sheets then the cosine of the latitude multiplied by the latitude spacing in minutes of arc will give the equivalent longitude minutes of arc spacing. Example: If 1 inch equals a minute of arc at latitude 35* then a minute of arc of longitude equals 1 inch multiplied by the cosine of 35* or approximately .82 inches.
