Peter, there are also dozens and dozens of old 19th century Nautical Almanacs available on google books as pdf files for free. The digital versions that you will find for sale can also be found for free in a few online digital libraries, more obscure than google books. Also on google books, there are quite a few editions of Bowditch's Navigator from the early 19th century forward and many other historically interesting resources. I compiled a long list of the historical navigation books available almost two years ago.
