    Even if you know that your pace is 47 centimeters on a 12° slope (upwards) and the shadow is 21,5 paces long, - you will have to solve a more complicated problem than the multiplication of two numbers (to get the height of an object casting that shadow).

    It was just a bit of fun, but I see what you're getting at.  However, maybe you are worrying unnecessarily.  If the shadow was downhill, you would have further to walk, but your pace would be longer, and if the shadow was up hill, you would have less distance to walk but your pace would be shorter. Easternmost old pet muddled, perhaps (5,6,6)
