Thank you for your explanation.
Now I understand that the problem of
finding the age of my sextant is even more
complicated than I thought: I do not have a certificate.

P.S. By the way your message seems to be an answer
to a message that I posted on ANOTHER list
(The sextant list). I don't remember asking the question
about the age of my sextant on the Nav List:-)
