    Polarizers

    Bill,

I have several sets of both circular and linear polarizers. The linear polarizers work as variable filters in all four orientations. The circular polarizers only work as a pair in one of the four orientations. If a circular polarizer is paired with a linear polarizer then two of the four orientations works. I have a set of both types right here in front of me to verify this. If you have a pair of circular polarizers then it will be necessary to find the right configuration. It will may mean removing the polarizer from the frame and flipping it over. A good tool for this is a pair of dividers.
