Well, I worked through Problem 2-4 from "100 Problems in C.N." using the formulae for direct calculation found in the N.A. This was a running fix using only the Sun with the added twist of crossing the IDL. So I had to add a step or two when figuring the longitude.
Result: Everything worked out flawlessly...well almost! :) I forgot a plus sign in one of the equations the first go 'round and thought I was much closer to the DR than I actually was. Oops. A double check with TeaCup uncovered the error.
Anyway, thanks again for your help, Andrés!
Regards,
Sean C
