AFPAM 11-216 used to be available online but I see now that the link no longer works.

    Bruce,
I suggest Publication AFPAM11-216 March 1, 2005 reprint from 2001 edition "Air Navigation" U.S. Air Force". This is 50-70 stuff but utilizes HO-249 and the Air Almanac. The Air Almanac is not available anymore in paper format since starting from the 2008 edition, however it is available in CD format from the Nautical Almanac Office of the USNO (www.usno.navy.mil/USNO/astronomical-appications.).
    Hope this helps.
    Paolo
