A preliminary daily rate on the replaced ETA watch movement has been done over this last week using the stopwatch split and shortwave method.
- 0.2 sec
-0.4 sec
-0.6 sec
-0.9 sec
-1.1 sec
-1.3 sec
-1.6 sec
-1.8 sec
This works out to a daily rate of -0.23 sec (-1.6 sec/7= .229 sec)
After the UT leap second is applied on 6/30/2012 I will be doing a daily rating over a weeks period on the watches I use for CN (2 analog quartz and a digital) then compare to a monthly rating. I expect the two quartz analog watches to do better than the digital. If I'm lucky the average of the two analog quartz watches will be spot on.

Bill,
I use a digital stop/lap/split watch and a short wave radio time tick then average a few splits on the short wave signal beep after starting the stop watch when the wrist watch second hand strikes 12.
