Question on a ship's log for Jean Ribault's 1562 colony expedition.

Thanks in advance for any responses. Would there be a ship's log from Jean Ribault's 1562 colony expedition to Florida and South Carolina? The reason I ask is Ribault set a stone monument on an island in the Port Royal Sound. Supposedly, the Spanish removed the monument and took it to Spain. I am curious if there were notes taken when the monument was set. Maybe the exact day it was set, or an angle tie to a star, sun, or moon. I am at a loss on how to look for a 1562 ship's log, or if such a thing even existed at that time.
