I haven't seen anyone mention the Web clock at the USNO site: http://www.usno.navy.mil/USNO Over the past few years I've checked it many times against a shortwave radio. It's always perfect. By eye and ear I cannot detect any discrepancy with WWV's time ticks. And these checks have used a dial up connection. The clock won't display unless Javascript is enabled in your browser. A link on that page will lead you to animated GIF clocks. On my system these kept freezing up after running less than 30 seconds. Also, the clocks were about half a second off from WWV. GPS receiver time display – the error can depend on the screen you have selected. One of my receivers is 1 or 2 seconds slow on the position readout screen. But on the screen that leads to the setup menus, the time is dead on. --
