    Sure, those are quite usable for general-purpose time, but uncertainty of a few milliseconds in the propagation limits their appeal for ranging.  I do hear WWVH from Hawaii quite well here on the west coast (generally mixed in with cochannel WWV from Colorado), so I imagine there's decent coverage across the entire Pacific from this source alone.

    It's fun to think about the possibilities for ad-hoc LF or HF positioning, but If a sextant and celestial objects are available, one would be far better off with standard CN.
