And one simply can't climb above 29,035 ft unless the Chinese have started a
replica of the Eiffel Tower on Mt. Everest. But I suppose for sextant
arcana...surely the early climbers must have taken a sextant to the top to
confirm the location of the peak? And had some unique issues to deal with
there?

Or not?
