All you guys pushing Lunars, get on a sailboat and try a set of Lunar Distance sights. Then do a set of "intercept" sights. You can use a calculator for the Lunars, but think about having to use a set of Trig Tables instead. THEN compare the two fixes. I have already done this. Lunars are better than NO longitude, but not much better than a good DR. IMHO the cheapest and easiest system (other than LOP) is the chronmeter time sight. Charts NOT required.
