LOL.  Often topics I have been toying with come to me in a dream, and
suggest things I overlooked.  During part of my mourning routine I have
access to books etc, but the shower wakes me up and leaves room for thoughts
only.

You are literally quite correct in targeting dip, as Guy did mention height
of eye.  A very learned and interesting answer.

However Guy did not give us a height of eye figure, but did give us
elevation above sea level.  I seriously doubt Guy intended to or could use
the natural sea horizon from the lake.  I therefore made a logical leap that
dip was not his primary concern.

To follow up on refraction correction for Guy, page 280 of my almanac gives
a formula for calculating not only dip, but refraction at 1010 millibars and
10 Celsius, as well as a correction to standard refraction for temperature
and pressure if known.  Adjusting broadcast pressure with the formula Frank
provided then plugging and chugging should get you pretty close to a
refraction value to use at 6225 ft with a natural horizon.
