Here is another lunar report, this time the angle exceeds 120. The data is corrected for index error which this time I determined as -0.3' (from Altair-to-itself). Oct 31 (GMT) T=53F, pres: 29.82, height 12ft. Lat 40d37.2' N, Long 85d55.8 W Moon-Altair, far limb: GMT 04:14:27 04:21:43 4:41:01 4:44:30 05:01:27 DIST 123d32.5' 123d33.8' 123d37.1' 123d37.5' 123d38.7' ERD 0.5 0.3' 0.3' 0.3' 0.3 It look like my sextant has some arc distortion at large arcs. I am going to make a table of it using star-to-star distances. Alex.
