    Hello again Frank

The sinking Scillies and the populations future need
    for flotation...

A quick web search on 'Scilly Islands Geology' on
Yahoo threw up a government planning paper 'A Heritage
and Cultural Strategy for the Isles of Scilly' from
www.scilly.gov.uk. The 'geology' section of this
planning documents reports the known tilting of the
granite base rock as well as the rising sea level.

My anecdotal ( but secondary) informant is a
geographer who was there this summer with a sailing
dinghy - perhaps not a full blast scientific reference
but good enough for me - he's a trusted friend as well
as being a yotter who has circumnavigated two up going
to the geographically interesting places rather than
    the popular places.

Maybe the flotation won't be needed next week... I'm
sure the residents of the Scillies can sleep sound in
their beds, at least until after Christmas (joke).
