Yes that is indeed my current ship. you can see the bridge wing and
my subsequent height of eye. We actually have a chart on the bridge that
gives Dip based on after draft.
The big white "tent" on the deck is called a cocoon and it is about 53,000
sq ft of material that I have to maintain (the USCG EAGLE has about 25,000 sq ft
of canvas total). In fact, I am fixing some of it now. I am patching
a strip of it that is about 120 ft long and 6 feet wide. I feel like a
real sailor working on that thing :-)
