http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/mrst.php is a good sight for determining the rise, set and zenith times for major objects in the stars, mostly planets and bright stars. I am getting used to Stellarium more and more, although I do need a faster, more reliable and up to date computer.

An aside, how many out there still use a slide rule of some sort (mathematical or nautical (like Vectormaster?)) they are called "computers" too as is the person doing the computation called a "computor."

Funny thing is that a slide rule never needs batteries or another type of electrical supply.

These things that supposedly save us scads of time, money, ink and paper do not more than drain our resources. Sure email is great, but a simpler SSB can do email these days.

    Just food for thought.

    R.
