Re: Should all electronic navigation devices on a yacht be set to True or Magnetic?

The problem here is about convenience.

On my sailboat, we did everything in magnetic (compass) because we did
not have enough power to keep a radar and other stuff running all of the
    time.

When we moved up in the world to a 42 foot cruiser, we did everything in
true. We had plenty of power and could run the radar, GPS, computer
plotter and everything else without even putting a dent in the available
    electrical service.

Now that I am back to a sailboat (again), I am dealing with the limited
electrical service and it took me a bit of time to get used to working
in magnetic all of the time.
