I had one of those compasses and unfortunately lost it..the tritium ilumination worked well..as I tried to replace it..I was informed that it was withdrawn due to radiation safety issues under new US and Europe regulations. It was fine until you broke the tube....!!!..frankly I decided not to pursue it any further because of that. I dont think you'll have much luck replacing the tube. I'm not aware of other manufacturers using this technology any more . >From: Robert Eno>Reply-To: Navigation Mailing List >To: NAVIGATION-L@LISTSERV.WEBKAHUNA.COM >Subject: Sisteco Primatic Handheld Compass >Date: Wed, 17 Mar 2004 00:02:32 -0500 > >Greetings List, > >About 10 or more years ago, I purchased a handheld prismatic "Sight Master" >compass which was manufactured by a firm called "Sisteco" from Finland. >This is by far, is the best handheld compass that I have ever owned.
