In this respect - and only in this one - the current SKYSCOUT version makes me think of a most superb Porsche sportscar with a 2 gallon fuel tank only !!! What a pity!"
Just to reiterate, this is not really an obvious defect. The coordinates appear to be epoch 2000 coordinates. Including epoch of date coordinates would only affect a very small number of users of this device --maybe 1 in a thousand? even in in 10,000?

Just so you know, "Android" is merely a mobile phone operating system. It has rapidly advanced in popularity in the past year. One piece of software available for it, and VERY popular, is "Google Skymap" which makes a mobile phone function a lot like a Skyscout. This particular piece of software, though, is more like demo-ware --fairly typical for google. There are a couple of similar software applications available on the iPhone that do much the same thing and with better results.
