You're in my thoughts. I feel like we should have a "George's greatest hits" from the NavList archives.
Here are my favorites that I recall easily:
1.) The discussion of the etymology of looming between you and Frank
2.) The legend of al Biruni, whose internet 'reputation' snookered me
3.) Your advice to see Avebury on my trip to visit my son at UCL - this by the way, was one of the best pieces of advice I had for that trip. Thank you so much!
