There is a more modern treatment done in a work called "Spacecraft Attitude Determination and Control", edited by James R. Wertz, published by Reidel. Mine is a 1978 edition; a new edition came out last month - for $152! Ouch. I am not sure how revised the new 2003 edition is. This work goes off more into Euler angles and using quaternions and such, so it is more mechanics than navigation, but there is good material on sun sensors, gyroscopes and spherical geometry. Lots of mathematical equations, good technical drawings. If you can find a used copy of an older paperback version it may be work picking up. Wertz has written several other space/math/physics books as well. Search Amazon for details... Dan
