this weekend is very hot for a people accustomed to live in the cold rain of Belgium, I decided not to sleep at night, I am well into my garden and watch the stars with my laptop Stellarium connected configured navigational star,,, great light polution, and for the first time, the angle measurement tool. I just had a good view towards the southwest between trees and neighboring buildings, with a good view of Vega, Deneb, Altair
I shot with telescope 6X30,, Deneb + - 85 ° high, with Altaïr + -45 ° height because they are almost vertical allignment
stellarium distance angle: 38 ° 01.06 '
But I did not take into account the altitude corrections
if I take the yellow table of Nautical Almanac
Deneb: 85 ° = height - 0.1 '
Altaïr: 45 ° = height - 0.9 '
As I do not measure with horizon, I do not add,
but I subtract is -0.8 'to know the right angle star to star is 38 ° 00.8'
Is this correct?
This topic has already been posted on the NavList, but I can not find all the description and how it would be possible to calculate on sea with my Lexibook SC700 scientific calculator without laptop
thank you
