Correcting a missing minus in my post http://www.fer3.com/arc/m2.aspx?i=112368&y=201003
The given equation should have read:
z* (or z-pole in your notation) = (1/r) exp(+i (phi + pi)) = - (1/r) exp(+i phi) = - 1/z-bar (and not = 1/z-bar)
Robert Bernecky indicates the pitfalls of labeling the point "diametrically opposite" Z with Z-pole. Such a point (Z*) could be correctly and concisely referred as the antipode or antipodal point of Z.

Robin Stuart
