I have the following two sextants. They are of no use to me. I can't get any response out of Celestaire as to whether they'd be interested in buying them, though they apparently do buy surplus sextants for rebuilding and resale. I'd be interested in seeing them go to someplace which would give them "a good home". I'm interested in getting some value in return for them. I'd particularly like to turn them (magic wand?) into an Astra or equivalent marine sextant. Does anyone in the group have any ideas or suggestions? Both appear to be in good to very good condition , but I can't speak to their functional condition. Thanks -- dwf (Ridgecrest, CA) Sextant, Bubble Type (with altitude averaging device) AN-5851-1 built by Bendix Aviation Corp., Eclipse Pioneer Division. in fitted wooden case, with battery holder, connector, and spare light bulbs. Sextant, Mirror Horizon Two Power Magnification with Variable Time Integrator Type MA-1, Specification Mil-S-9391 by Kollsman Instrument Co., with original heavily padded soft carrying case. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-= =-= TO UNSUBSCRIBE, send this message to majordomo@ronin.com: =-= =-= navigation =-= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=
