I have "A New Manual of Logarithms to Seven Places of Decimals", by Bruhns (through abe books). Has 1" at the ends and 10" in the middle, but with differences and proportional parts for interpolating to 1" (or 6" for .1 min). It's full size, about 2 1/2 inches thick. Regarding George's comment, I suggest the combination of basic trig and logs to get maximum "enjoyment" and enlightenment. from message #1750: "After carrying out quite a few calculations, (including a clearing of lunar distance via the fundamental equation with log tables---only takes 14 table look ups!)" The various trig manipulations are done to simplify and speed the calculation as we all know, but by using the basic equations and log tables, you can really get your hands on the numbers! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to NavList@fer3.com To , send email to NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
