After lurking for months and hundreds of very helpful messages, have made a first attempt at using a list server. Hope this makes it. I have been pursuing an interest in various tabular sight reduction methods, ho201, 211, 214, 229, 249, concise nautical almanac, etc. I've written excel versions of most. I recently ran accross a web site with some very interesting programs. It contains about a dozen files with windows executables and basic SOURCE code (!) that reproduce various tabular methods. (Including those listed.) There isn't much text on the site, so it's hard to google it. http://www.geocities.com/sadams16/Navigation.html An aside: A very interesting book from the time when GHA was just coming into the Naut Alm along with RA. Includes many example calculation of methods prior to LOP. (and so cheap!) CUGLE, Charles H., Cugle's Practical Navigation E.P Dutton, 1938. . Chart Included Price: $5.00 __________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - Make it your home page! http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs
