Hello Brad,
as far as I can see, you do no mention, what limb off the sun you used?
Or do you mean center limb, because you use the figures from USNO site?
I made a handdrawn curve on mmpaper to find the time of noon and highest altitude.
But that's a lot off work, and gave me not the clear info, cut the curve with cisors, fold
the left on the right part a the middle was about sight no:8 UT 6:39:06 hight 7° 09,4'
If I use the center of the sun and use the highst measured value and that time 6:39:06 for
noon, put that in the TI-89 "Lat and long at noon" and suppose you look north at the sun
I get roughly Lat 66°41,2 S, Long 081°39,7.
Wel that's the best I can make off this.
