Testing home made level vials

Here is the lash-up for testing level vial sensitivity during the lapping process. A 4 foot level is resting on two short metal square tubes, (the scraps from the vial making jig). You rotate the set-up until the bubble is centered. As G.R. told me there is always a level in one direction on a plane and you turn until you find it. Put rubber stoppers in the tube after filling and tape this on the level. Put a feeler gauge under one end and measure the bubble movement with the math mentioned in my previous posting. If it's correct you install the brass end-caps. If it's too sensitive go back, do more lapping then test again.
