Some flight navigation manuals explain a graphical procedure to estimate the time of LAN in a fast moving airplane. But by the time flight navigation became common there were many short methods for calculating Hc and Zn and the common inspection tables such as H.O. 218, H.O. 214, and then H.O. 249 so, since flight navigators were well trained in the normal procedure for calculating all of their other LOPs, I doubt that any flight navigator ever actually tried to do LAN sights in flight, no advantage to it over the normal procedures.
