It's good to see postings by Renee Mattie again, after a longish gap. Renee may like to know that Ian Jackson's second volume, of the whaling journals of William Scoresby the younger, to which she has conributed a nice line-drawing of a traverse board, is being published by the Hakluyt Society toward the end of the year. The credit attached to the drawing will use these words. "Traverse board drawn by Renee Mattie, based on an original by Duane Cline". I hope that's acceptable; but if she would like to alter to that wording, she should contact Ian (via me, if preferred) very quickly.
