Discovery Channel aired "Carrier at War" last night. It's about life aboard the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Stennis. We learn that they still take celestial fixes three times a day. An officer is shown shooting the sun, and the sextant is seen close up. It's a C. Plath Navistar Traditional with split horizon glass. The program will air again Saturday: http://dsc.discovery.com/schedule/series.jsp?series=11266
