    Hello Greg,

All the numbers look good; I'd add "S" next to Alphard's declination for completeness.

    Three-star fix:
    Lat: N 25d 10.0'
    Lon: E 143d 49.6'

EP from DR and Sun LOP (I'm ignoring 7 seconds of UT)
    Lat: N 26d 03.1'
    Lon: E 143d 30.3'
DRP to EP: 5.0nm, bearing 126

All my results are consistent with your plots (and Kermit's & Yves's calculations) - thanks for constructing the examples!

Here is my final USCG student sample problem ( #4 east longitude and north latitude ).
Fare well to the land of Oz and onward to the land of the rising Sun.
