I’ve touched on the UK National Grid with kids at open days in the UK. Certainly, the 9-11 year olds are already familiar with it. They all come out with “Across the hall and up the stairs” as soon as I mention grids. They all know “My very educated mother” as well. At that stage I usually say, “I’ll sit down, and you can teach me.” Well done the UK National Curriculum (or well done Wikipedia). Where does the NZ National Grid start? DaveP
