It may not be exactly what you had in mind, and is rather less sophisticated than the software mentioned by Steven Wepster, but I will mention GNU bc, http://www.gnu.org/software/bc/bc.html, in case you are not familiar with it. It's Free (with a capital F :-). It's used at the command line, so not everyone's cup of tea; for your requirement of saving data, you would provide input in a text file, and pipe output to a file also. Its native environment is Unix, but it has apparently been ported to Windows. Phil
