I agree, if you could spell out exactly what it is you're trying to
do. Excel or Calc will usually give an error at any kind of circular
reference in a spreadsheet. You might need to get grips with Visual
Basic for Applications (VBA) or OpenOffice Basic to accomplish the
task.
