    It moves the moon's (observed) position in the firmament because of the parallax of the observer. Of course, Norm, the physical position of the moon is not shifting about, but that is the way it appears to the observer.  The moon's relationship to background stars has been altered.

    Sorry if that upset your view, but its different from over here!  How's that for a play on words!!

    All this makes sense to this enthusiast, but, really, is there a way we can restrain ourselves from saying that "it moves the Moon's position". That would be a monumental task,indeed.
